What to use to wean 4 wk old pups

Hey, I have a litter of Shih-tzu pups that are ready to start the weaning process. I was told that Royal Canine has a weaning food for my situation. Has anyone used this brand before and if so what do you think. I ordered Flint River Ranch puppy and dog food almost a month ago and still havent recieved it...another issue lol So i cant wait any longer in starting them on food.

I thought you said you had a mentor who had been breeding for 15 years...is she on vacation??? I think you should be asking her these questions or your vet..... because these are all things you should have known prior to breeding your dog.....whether the food arrived or not you should have been prepared..... but lets see.... before you were asking about temperatures.... because apparently your mentor didn't understand those .... and now about weaning..... apparently your mentor can't help you here either....

Oh that was mature. If you don't like the responses from truly basic questions you should have known the answer to prior to a "planned" breeding, why do you keep asking them?

You people must think you are gods or something. I asked an opinion on a dog food brand. Thats it. If you cant give a response concerning that then dont reply. I ordered the food a month ago and have been trying to get the problem resolved. It wouldnt have been a problem if the company sent the food when they were supposed to. Bad supplier, not me being unprepared. Just in case you wanted to know but I am probably wasting my breath. You dont know me or my circumstances so if you cant say anything nice then shut up.

this is an internet forum you can't pick and choose who responds or what they want to say.... if that is what you want then go talk to your mentor (if they exist which I doubt to be honest) but this is an internet forum which is not the appropriate place to be getting breeding advice.

I don't care how long ago you ordered the food, there are other distributors out there if you didn't get it from one then order from another..... there are no excuses for not having your ducks in a row when you have a litter..... NO EXCUSES

But then again if you need to come to an internet forum for breeding advice then the reality is YOU SHOULD NOT be breeding....

THE ANSWER to your question is to talk to you mentor if they exist or your vet.....BUT an internet forum is not the place for breeding, whelping, or weaning advice.....

The moderators don't know which is more annoying, one member telling another member to shut up, or another member continually prodding as if to make a point. Neither of these belong on our forum, will not be tolerated, and certainly can be handled better by adults.
