Anyone have any problems switching to Wellness CORE?

I've decided to gradually switch my pup from Wellness Fish & Sweet Potato dry food to Wellness CORE. Last night was his first dinner of the CORE.

This morning he went to the bathroom and it was fairly solid, but a lot, and definitely softer than usual. I figured that was to be expected. I left for about five hours and just came home to a mess - he had really soft, nasty accidents all over the house, even a little bit of projectile on my walls. Gross!

At this point, do you think I should stick with gradually adding in the CORE or just say forget it? He definitely LIKES the CORE better so far.

I'd mix it in gradually.
Are you swicthing to CORE as part of an elimination diet or just for the heck of it? Or some other reason?

Just figured he might like the higher meat content, which he does. I have been doing a gradual mix-in. He seems to be getting a better.

Re: Anyone have any problems switching to Wellness CORE?

I just switched Baxter and did the change over the course of about two weeks. He seems to like it, but his poops are inconsistent on it.

I don't completely trust her, but the woman who owns a dog store in town that is big into raw (sells a few brands plus her own) and all things holistic said that it takes about 48-72 hours for a dog to process/digest a grain-free food and that the first little while can be a bit odd, poop wise.

Of course, that was quickly followed by a pitch to switch Baxter to one of the brands she carries, so take that with a grain of salt.

Now that I've switched, I'm coming across information about calcium and I'm starting to flip out about that. If it's not one thing, it's another...
