It's chicken! Or appears to be. I gave Smokey and Lily leftover chicken from last nights dinner (no bones, no skin, was baked chicken plain) it was still good - I ate a few pieces this morning. We've done this before with chicken and I noticed rather loose bowels with a stench you wouldn't believe.
Fast forward about 2-3 hours later...and there's a problem. All of a sudden Smokey threw up and then had some rather gross diarrhea. He hadn't eaten anything else but kibble and that piece of chicken this morning...oddly enough in the vomit it was mostly acid/bile with a few pieces of completely unprocessed chicken.
So hopefully I've found out what causes his stomach to turn upside down and now we can avoid it, of course I'll keep tabs to see if anything else is causing issue but for now, I think we've discovered the source! YAY

Glad you found the problem!
My cat has the same response to chicken, try finding a cat food that doesn't have chicken in it!

I was under the impression that chicken was a pretty unlikely source of a stomach issue until I saw the result myself...now I feel bad for feeding him a chicken based protein for so long and not understanding what was making him feel icky.
