What age to change feeding to twice/day?

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering what advice you may have: I have a four month old Swissy who currently gets fed three times a day - she eats heartily every time she gets fed. At what age is it appropriate to feed twice daily? Or does it matter?

Thanks!

Being a giant breed, I never took my big dogs as pups off 3 meals until 5-6 months old. Depends on the dog. Lunch should be a little smaller and just watch. She will slow down in needing it.
I would rather feed 3 meals, smaller in portions than two bigger meals. Having big breeds they do better with digesting all the nutrition if fed in smaller meals than large ones. With two large meals, its harder to digest and they do not get as much out of the food..
What are you feeding?

my danes are both old enough they COULD have only 2 meals. but im terrified of bloat, and therefore my girls will always eat 3 smaller meals a day...
