Try can food. There are so many good can foods out there. I feed merrick, my dog loves it. I keep dry down all day and feed can in the mornings and eve. Right now he is getting TOTW dry and seems to like it. I like him having dry to, just keep it down and your dog will eat, if you stay strong and dont give her anything else. Some times i cook chicken and some veggies for my dog, just for something extra and a treat for him.

i dont mean to sound nasty by any means, but this is most likely because of you. from reading your other post you are adding "poeple food" to her food all the time. this creates picky eaters. its ok to do once in a while, but its really not something you need to be doing every day. if shes not eating at all, change her food. get a small sample bag of something else to try out.

I've never had a picky eater REMAIN a picky eater, because they either eat what they're given, or they go without. Dogs will not starve themselves. I have no problem in adding whole, fresh "people food" (i.e., poached ground meats and steamed vegetables) to their kibble (EVO), because I don't expect them to eat the same old dry food day after day after month after year. We like variety, and so do they.

We also have a picky eater. We have found that having more than one brand of dry kibble in the house, plus Merrick canned food works.

The Merrick canned dog food is like people food, so your dog may really like it. My Maddie loves the canned Merrick - especially the Smothered Comfort flavor (chicken). She goes nuts when I get it out.

Maddie gets 1/3 cup of dry food twice a day. She gets one small spoonfull of canned Merrick on her dry food twice a day. She's 16 pounds and looks great. The vet said she'd probably be 20 pounds, but I don't think that's going to happen.

She gets a different brand of kibble at each meal. We use Fromm duck and sweet potato, Canine Caviar lamb and rice, Canine Caviar chicken and rice and Merrick Before Grain salmon. She does well on this, but some dogs do not do well with kibble changes. Get samples from a place that handles higher-end dog kibble.

Limit the people food you give her off the table, etc. It's not good for them unless it's veggies. Maddie loves all veggies and they are good people food treats. I tried the yogurt and cottage cheese. It only worked for a little while and she'd get bored with it.

I'm not one of those who thinks that if they don't eat too bad, so sad - when you are hungry enough then you'll eat by golly. I have to have Maddie eat or else she throws up. That whole idea may work on big dog, but I think little dogs have to eat something. They just do not have the "extra" on them, for them not to eat.

Go get some samples and some cans of Merrick. I hope your dogs "hunger strike" is over soon. I know how frustrating it can be.
