Wich one would you pick ?

out of these two dog foods wich one would you say is the better one.

Taste of the wild
**** Van Patten's, Natural Balance

I'm looking for a good dog food, money is no problem. I relize that it is just your personal opinion but would like to know what everyone considers the number one best dog food. Thanks for your time.

Taste of the wild. It's 6 stars on the dogfoodanalysis and Natural Balance is 4 stars.

Re: Wich one would you pick ?

Whichever one works for your dog(s). Not all dogs do well on the same types of food. My dogs do not do well on holistic foods--we've tried several and always have the same result. They lose coat, get flaky skin, pass huge mushy stools, become gassy, etc., so they get a quality brand of food with quality ingredients (Eagle Pack), but not the holistic formulas. There is no one food that works for all dogs.

Try one and if you aren't happy with the results, try another. Give it some time, though--a couple of months for sure.

Re: Wich one would you pick ?

they are both good foods actually. a lot of dogs do well on natural balance b/c it is a simple food with good ingrediants, but not an overload. some dogs do not do well with really rich foods, like innova evo for example. my dog was on natural balance, and he did ok on it. there werent any real problems, but he does a little better on canidae. i havent personally used taste of the wild, but i do know it has good ingrediants. either way, your dog is getting a good food. just try one and see how it goes. if you dont like it, try the other one.

Re: Wich one would you pick ?

Thank you for all your inputs. I got samples of TOTW and Natural Balance and my dog would not touch the Natural Balance but ate the TOTW. He didn't go after it like he loved it but he ate it. I think i will try TOTW and canned Merrick and see how he does. By the way he is a pom, here's a picture of him and his sister. ps.... He was on chicken soup but as decided that he doesn't care for it all that much. I think he is a bit of a brat.......

Re: Wich one would you pick ?

Yeah i think Koda(pom) will like it to. I think what is happening right now, is he is more into the canned and not so much the dry but i want him to be on both.

Re: Wich one would you pick ?

That is one seriously cute puppy! And I would go with Taste of the Wild and see how your pooch does on it...love the grainless formulas!
