First off, YAY fro Great Danes

The raw diet is wonderful, but you HAVE to research before even starting. I would suggest visiting a few Dane websites http://groups.msn.com/thegreatdaneroom/general.msnw
http://danetalkers.com/
http://www.danesonline.com/

Great Danes are a tricky breed while growing. You want them to grow slow and steady. Raw is wonderful for this, but you have to get a good variety. The Dane Talkers website has lots of raw feeders, they are very friendly and can give you alot of information.

I feed my German Shepherd raw (my Great Dane is currently back on kibble, but will go back on raw when we get his allergies worked out). His staple is chicken quarters, but he also gets pork, beef, lamb, turkey, deer, eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, honey etc
