LMAO! GOOD ONE! Ha ha!
Oh yes, 150lb dog eating canned would be WAAAY expensive. Unless you were going to feed that awesome brand out there.. what is it... Iams? The beneful one.. That's got all those super fresh carrots and slabs of meat
When I fed raw, I fed chicken backs at every meal, they're the "wild's toothbrush"! |

| Re: I don't know what the heck to feed him... I know!! Sometimes when I'm at the grocery store and I see people buying brands that are WORSE than Iams and Purina, you know the ones that don't even bother to waste money on coming up with a name (ROFL), I'll pretend to look at a bag too, but read the ingredients..
"Corn as the first ingredient? Hmm... I don't think a wild dog would raid a corn field.."
That's only if I'm alone, if I have someone with me I'll just talk to them, but I don't want to look crazy or I'll lose all credibility! LMFAO! |

| Re: I don't know what the heck to feed him... I know. I spent about half an hour in the dog food aisle at Wal-Mart the other day, reading the ingredients. Pedigree and Ol' Roy have very similar ingredient lists. I was sort of surprised----I would assume a brand name like Pedigree would at least be better than that. Purina Dog Chow is better, though it's still not great. I decided that if I was ever forced (and it would definitely have to be under some serious duress) to feed my dogs something I could buy at Wal-Mart, I'd give them Maxximum Nutrition. It at least has meat as the first ingredient, and no corn or meat by-products. It's a 3-star food on dogfoodanalysis.com. Well, anyway, that was my recent adventure at Wally-World . |

It is crazy isn't it? All the crap they pawn off as good for our dogs. When I see people doing that I have to repeat to myself-Well at least they are feeding there dogs and not starving them.
It's the only thing that gets me by without giving them a dirty look-haha. Quote:

But also I never see chicken backs.Do you have to ask the butcher for them? LOL-Well Beniful has all those vegetables on the front of the bag so maybe I'll give that a try. Quote:

I didn't have a job for a few months and it was hard keeping up with his good nutrition. I here kirkland brand is another good cheaper one too. |

Well my dog does graze on our grass, maybe that's why he's not so hungry these days-haha.
I'd love to see a pic with the danes and the horses all grazing together. |
