How much food?

My puppy is 7 weeks old, and for now I'm giving her dog food four times a day every 4 hours. Each serving is about 1 and a half handfuls but is that enough because I've seen similar size dogs who eat alot.

It'll tell you on the package of the food you're using what you should be feeding for age/size. Each brand of food varies too. I'd also get some measuring cups, you can't be accurate feeding in handfuls. Feeding too much can be just as bad as not feeding enough.

yes go by the dog food bag as suggested but I have heard from others and experienced myself that the suggested amount was way more than Lilly could eat.

Well everyone's hand size is different...LOL. I really couldn't say. Plus you didn't mention what kind of dog.

She's a golden retriever at 8 weeks old almost 9. She's eating eukanuba puppy and junior large breed dog food. I'm soaking the food before feeding. If she's still sniffing for food after and wanting more food does that mean she needs more food?

dry foods are rice/pasta based, just like they swell in your pan when you cook them, they swell in your puppies stomach. your pup wont be full until 40mins after she has eaten!

weigh your pup every 4 weeks and feed him accordng to the guide on the bag -overfeeding such a high quality food will make you puppy put on weight very quickly, the last thing you want is to make your dog overweight.

good luck!
