Who's Dogs On A Diet?

I am wondering out there who else has their dog on a diet? I currently have my bulldog on a diet but our situation is not quite like others. She is unable to have exercise due to a ACL injury that will need surgery more than likely. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on things to do for a dog that needs to loose weight but cant exercise? Also no surgeons will operate on her due to her weight (she weighed 68lbs is down to 66lbs needs to be in the 50's =0( ) so I am stuck in between a rock and ahard place...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated =0)

Are you able to take her swimming, if the weather is permissible? Even if she can't swim with her body shape, throw a life vest on her, and let her paddle away!

HA that is wonderful! I have actually thought about it before but being that she is a bulldog and NOT a good swimmer even though she LOVES the water I though even with a life jacket it could be tuff on her! We actually have a place about 20 mins from us called Paddling Paws its just for dogs and they do rehibilitating and post surgery strenghtening by swimming..I never gave that a thought really or looked to see how much it would cost...but that i guess would be the best option since she would not have to put any weight on her legs huh? Thanks for that advice i will look into that =0)

Buddy my Beagle is on a diet. I say he is buff, not fat He is on medication for seizures (phenobaribitol) and this has added weight to him. Also being a Beagle, he is a garbage disposal with four legs.

He is on Canidae weight management food and he is walked for 20 -30 minutes twice a day.
