Hello everyone, I am a new poster here but I have been reading thses forums for a yr now. I am a proud owner of 3 springers. (# 1 Is now our angel)# my We sadly had to put our first one down after 14 wonderful years in 2006. I am so happy we found this forum. We started the new puppy out on Chicken Soup and the 9 yr old was eating it too. Needless to say , he gained alot of weight. About a month ago we tried the Adult Chiken soup. They did not care for it and the male who is 9 has skin issues was forver scratching and biting his feet.. Canidae even made him scratch. Then we discovered grain free food and So far so good. He is doing very well on the EVO. I just feed him less that recommended. The female is not so picky however she really likes it also. I feed a small amount of canned merrick mixed with the kibble a couple of times a week.. I think they can read the can because as soon as I get it out, they go crazy.LOL So far so good with grain free, no itches....I wish I would have known about the food years ago when we got our first springer, as we fed her JUNK unknowingly. We think she may have not have developed all sorts of issues in the end.
