Sorry but I chickened out....I am soooooo uncool. I decided to have a piece of cheesecake instead.

I was at a dog show and there was a goumet dog treat booth. They had Pizza flavored snacks. I read the ingrediants, which were things like wheat, oat meal, nothing weird, so I tried them, not bad. What was funny, is there were a couple of 10 year oldish girls watching me like I was nuts. But I got them to try them too!
I have also tasted the milk bones dipped in white chocolate. They had a bad after taste. And remember those discusting things called Special Cuts that looked like fake meat made out of rubber? My brother ate some of those.

When I raced bicycles, and Power Bars had just come out, I made my dog try them before I would eat them. I said if my dog won't eat them, I am not touching them. Guess what, she loved them! And when my friends got stuck on a mountain over night, they did eat the dogs milk bones.

OK, there are these jerky treats and they smell like beef jerky and they look sort of like jerky but they just taste nasty!

LOl. My best friend used to eat whole bowls full of dog food. Cat food as well. We used to pretend she was my pet and I'd feed her real pet food. She ate everything I gave her, she would even drink from the dogs water bowl! She's grown out of that thankfully.

I've tried a kibble or two myself, but I haven't the guts to taste the wet food.

I thought of this thread today while in the car. I went to the vet with my sister because Ted's groomer is next door and my sister needed to take one of her ferrets in to the vet. So on the way home I stopped at Petco to buy Ted a new collar and on the way out she picked up one of the treats next to the check out counter for customers. We got in the car and she told me to taste it "it really tastes like a real chocolate chip cookie." Sure enough it did and I wanted the whole thing.. Ted ate just a little piece (I don't let him eat that stuff) and then Elliot ate a little also. When I told my mom she couldn't believe how grose we were and just shook her head in disgust. She's also not a fan of raw feeding or the fact I feed Teddie better than I do myself, but what can I say..

I just had to post this because when the thread popped into my mind I laughed sooo hard.

The store where I get Baxter's food sells treats that are for humans and dogs. They're awesome.

The pumpkin and banana ones are my favs.

Ok, my confession -
Milkbones - meh they aren't so great unless you get the multi-flavored ones...those aren't too bad (especially the green ones)
Beggin Strips - they just smell really good - so I tried it...needless to say they do NOT taste as good as they smell.
Same thing with the meat and cheese ropes.
never tried any kind of kibble ...
though my mom ate an entire can of dogfood by accident...must not have tasted bad because she ate it all.
Here's the story on that, my mom came over to visit, I had gotten some dented cans for a good price on dog food...some were missing labels but none of the cans were damaged where it was compromised. Ok, so I have these cans without labels under my cabinet and she came over for the night to watch the kids. She pops a can open and thinks it's beef stew (it had potato chunks, peas, carrots, etc) and heated it and ate it (luckily my oldest child was still on a bottle) well, she told me she got to the bottom of the can when she realized there was something wrong with it, there was a big vein at the bottom. I laughed so hard I cried when I heard this.

I got this off of a list of reasons people have given when calling off of work...

..HA HA- maybe it was one of you that 'fessed up above and you just won't admit that part of it...
