I make my own dog food and also dog treats

Yes, my dogs are spoiled, but they are healthy. With all the food recalls was just to afraid to buy food, so I researched and I have been making my own dog food. What a difference in the dogs behavior, also their coat very shiny, the dogs actually look healthier.

Then came the problem when I wanted to provide a treat for my dog, oh no, too many recalls, so I researched, and then I made my own all natural dog treats, guess what, my dogs loved them, then I shared with friends & family, their dogs loved them also. Well, I decided why not sell them, so I started to do that, and I still sell them on E-Bay, other dogs now also love them. I do have to say the Peanut Butter Honey & Oats are very good, my (2) boys help make them, and they also like them, they are safe for people to eat.

I think that is great. I have a similiar story. After the recalls I also began cooking my own dog food and treats. I do supplement with a quality kibble, right now I use EVO just so I know I am covering all bases. Good luck I am sure your dogs are thrilled with the change, I know mine are.

i highly suggest reading dr.pitcarin's book (i just got the 3rd revised edition). its wonderful! its answered sooo many questions about nutrition that i couldnt find online. and its stuffed with recipes, and tables that break down content of meats, grains, etc. simply amazing.

I home cook too! Theo is a garbage disposal, so he makes it easy! Plus I love to cook, so it is a bundle of fun!

I use Dr Pitcairn's Book too. The recipes from there form the basis for my dogs diet. I use raw beef instead of turkey but the dogs seem to do really well on it.

Better Food For Dogs by David Bastin, Jennifer Ashton and DR. Grant Nixxon DVM: Is a terrific book! The book has a section divided by weights 5lbs to 150lbs and 3-4 recipies for each weight of dog. The recipies are great too, some are human friendly too!
