My dog, i guess some would say she's picky but I say she puts herself on a 'fast' once in a while sometimes up to once or twice a week she won't touch her food, I feed her the same amount each time and i give it to her once a day. no more no less. I wait long enough - if she hasn't eatten yet that day she will when she is hungry enough. I feed her Eaglepack -the only dog food so far that doesn't give her the runs but actually minimizes the poop i have to pick up. My only problem is trying to make sure my daughter (3 yrs old next month) doesn't give her 'table scraps'.

I know some dogs are picky eaters. Some puppies go thru times where they are not that hungry all the time. Sometimes mine will eat all their food and somedays they don't. I pick it up after about 45 minutes and put some kitchen wrap over it and put it in the fridge. I'm not familiar with your dog food but if its kibble, get some good can food and put a tablespoon of it with the kibble and mix it up good> like a sauce. Mine like their that way and eat it all most of the time. David

Cessa will hunger strike now and then. Here is what we do, and it usually works. Leave the food down for 15 minutes. If he doesn't eat, take it away. No treats until the next meal. Then leave the next meal down for 15 minutes. Same thing, if he doesn't eat, take it away and no treats to the next meal.

He will not starve. Unless he is not eating because he is sick, he will eat when he is hungry. If he doesn't eat at all for two days, then something might be wrong and I would call the vet.

good advice, I do that 1 -2 times a month, as a treat.
