Hi, I am new to this forum and I was wondering if you could maybe help me?
I have changed dogfood brands, we did it gradually over a few days, starting with a little bit and then adding more. Well now it seems like Zoe (our mutt, mother is bluetick hound and jack russell and father is austrailian sheppard and collie) had lost all bladder control. It started last night right before we gave her a bath, so we thought it was b/c she was nervous. She then did again a few hours later and there was a whole lot there. And now this evening she was sitting up with my husband and she just peed all over him. Could changing her dog food do this? Or should I be concerned that it is something else?

I think the fact that the dog is having a problem and you recently just switched food brands is likely just a coincidence. At any rate, I would get the dog to the vet right away to be checked out.

No, food will not do this to a dog.

Increased water will, though. How old is the dog??

Your dog may need to be put on incontinance medication. That helps them with bladder control. My dog was on it, and it helped a great deal.

Take your dog out as much as you can.

Take your dog to the Vet ASAP because it could be a bladder infection, and that can be very painful. It could also be something more serious.

Ask the Vet about a CHEWABLE TABLET for bladder control

Hello, Opokki and Dulce are right, the change of food should not make this sort of difference in her bladder. The vet needs to see her, she could have a bladder infection or problem of some sort, or more likely the " spayed female " incontinence problem. Call him tomorrow and try to get her in asap, treatment is not be too difficult and this is not likely going to clear up on its own, it will only get worse if you wait.
