Cool Any Boxer Owned Humans Out There???

Hello All,

I'm new to Dog Forums, I found the site fishing around for help with my Shadow's (my Boxer) gas. I had him on Pedigree puppy, then he went to training and they fed him Eukanuba Puppy. Since they changed his food, I decided to continue with the Eukanuba.

He has only been home a couple of days (he was gone for three weeks) and he has unbelievable gas! I didn't change the food back to Pedigree but I'm wondering if I should. I also noticed that his coat is not as soft anymore.

I have owned dogs all of my life and fostered many others and this is the first time any pet I've owned would actually eat Eukanuba...does anyone have any suggestions for an adequate dog food for a boxer's diet.

(P.S. In the short time I have taken to register and type this post, Shadow has "pooted" 5 times! HELP! )

Both Pedigree and Eukanuba are poor quality foods.

Boxers need lots of pretein as they are lean (Which I'm sure you already know)

I would suggest something like Innova, Innova EVO, California Natural, Neutro, Natural Balance. Those are great foods.

Also, look up the proper nutrition for Boxers. Here is a BOXER NUTRITION forum: NUTRITION FORUMS - Boxer Board

I HOPE THAT HELPS! Keep me posted, I want to know how it works for you

if you went cold turkey from Pedigree to Eukanuba that alone could be the cause of the gas.
