Blue Buffalo Wilderness

http://www.bluebuff.com/products/dogs/wilderness.shtml

I'm not sure how long it has been around but while shopping for my pooch last weekend I came across it. Anyone know how this compares with some of the other holistic dog foods out there?

I'm just wondering if it would be okay to use this considering it's easier to get than Innova (in my area)

Blue Buffalo is a great food - I love the life source bits concept. My dog was on the Lamb for a while a couple of years ago. This new Wilderness formula looks great...had it been available at the time I would have went with that instead. Definitely something you can feel good about switching to if your dog does well on it.

Re: Blue Buffalo Wilderness

I believe this is Blue Buffalo's new food. Anybody correct me if I'm wrong.

Blue Buffalo is a good food but IMO it is over priced. You can get a better food for the price and quality. Have you checked the smaller, local pet stores in your area? Usually most smaller, local pet stores sell Innova, California Natural, ect.... You may be able to get these foods local.

I don't know much about the food. I do know that most people I talk to say there dogs did not do good on the food and it gave there dog really runny poo. The company supposedly just recently changed there ingedients because alot of dogs were getting sick from the food. My friend feeds the food to her german shepard and swears that it's the best food ever. IMO it is a better food than most store brand foods but not the best. For the price I personally would go for another food.

Well overpriced isn't an issue really. My girlfriend is a rep for them at one of the pet stores here and gets a bunch of free coupons and the food is really cheap for her to buy. So, that's why I was thinking of switching.

They currently eat Nutro lamb & rice so I might think of switching and see how they do on it.

I LOVE Blue Buffalo!!! My Papillon finally reached -- and easily maintains her healthy weight on it and her coat looks amazing!!! One of my friends suggested I try it and I am in LOVE with this! I may not be a scientist or a doggie nutritionist, but to me the ingredient label reads like a yummy stew.

Where are you guys getting this stuff?! my dogs LOVED the free sample I got, and I can't get it in Arizona....since I'm moving to upstate NY (a bout 30 minutes from Canada) will it be easier to get? I looked around to places to have it shipped here, no such luck...if anyone can help on this my dogs will love you for it!

Petsmart is the only place I've ever seen Blue Buffalo. I thought it was a Petsmart exclusive........but maybe it's not. My dogs did fine on it, but I do think it's a bit overpriced. I can get Canidae and Chicken Soup for WAY less.
