Comments on Canidae Live Stages, Lamb & Rice formula

Looking for +/- comments on Canidae Live Stages, Lamb & Rice formula; Had my 5 year old Lab on Pro Plan for a few years, and just switched him to Science Diet, but am not seeing too many good comments on either of those two.

He has environmental allergies, and sensitive skin, so I figure the switch to Canidaes may be a good option for him. I don't think he has food allergies, but want to put him on something that is good for someone with sensitive skin.

Is the Lamb & Rice better than the regular Canidae formula for sensitive skin?

Our Boomer is basically a house Lab, so just want to make sure Canidae wouldn't have too much protein for our "lazy boy".

Thank you,....marc

Re: Comments on Canidae Live Stages, Lamb & Rice formula

My 9 month old was switch to Canidae: All Life Stages (not the Lamb&Rice version though, I decided to try the multiple protein sources first) about a month ago...she was formerly on Nature's Recipe Lamb&Rice for Puppies. She has a lot of allergies and always was itchy as a result, but she's doing much much better on the new food. She hardly scratches at all, her coat is fuller and more glossy, and her droppings are smaller and less frequent. I also feed her about 1/2 cup less/day than I did with her old food, and I think I'm going to have to cut back soon because she's getting a little too padded lol.

I probably sound like a dog food commercial or something, but it really was a great switch for us.
