Raw feeders...how to get her back on raw

Cally had bloody diarrhea and vomiting. She is on 5 days of amoxicillin because the vet thinks (based on bloodwork, symptoms, exam) that she had a bacterial infection in the small intestine. The vet wants her on canned food for a few days until things settle down. He wants me to wait on raw until I see a normal stool on canned.

However, after 4-5 days (or so?) and she is doing well, then do I just start putting her back on raw? Should I limit her to poultry to be sure her stomach is processing correctly? And then slowly put her back on the regular ration? I'm thinking adding a bit of yogurt might be good to re-populate the normal flora?

Any suggestions???

i dont feed raw myself, its just too much with my dogs. but i think yogurt will be good to add due to the good bacteria in it. i would also stick to easily digestable meats like chicken.

I think you have the right idea, brite. I would start her with one protein source like chicken and slowly start adding things back in. Kinda like you do when you first start raw. I would definitely add the yogurt.
