Dangerous Plants ?

I saw lists full of dangerous food for our dogs. I'm confused Which are really dangerous? For example boiled patato, cucumber, apricot or apple? My girl eats half an apple twice in a week. Is it dangerous for her? I want help from experts One more food question: Sometimes I feed her with fish. I boil fish 5 mins. without salt. is it ok for her?

i just learned grapes are very toxic for dogs. i guess you all know chocolate is. not sure of the spelling, but the olyander tree/bush is very deadly. pretty flowers, but i'd never have on in my yard.

Any kind of palm tree seed. Especially sago's and philladendrums. They will kill your dog quickly.

This list doesn't just tell you what foods you should avoid feeding your pets, it tells you why.

A note for those of you who were wondering: Marijuana is apparently bad for dogs

Interesting that raw eggs, raw fish, and liver is listed in that list. Raw feeders might question that

Re: Dangerous Plants ?

Apple seeds are slightly poisonous. Nobody should eat those! Apple is fine but the dog won't get much out of it unless the apple is cooked. If the potato is green it is poisonous and nobody should eat it but the white part is fine. The apricot seed inside the pit is slightly poisonous and nobody should eat it but as it is pretty hard to get to, don't think people even try. I think cucumber is fine.

You'll notice that the list answers the question, "Which foods could be dangerous to my pets?" Well, tons of foods COULD be dangerous, especially in vast quantities. That's why I like the fact that the list tells you why some of the foods might potentially be dangerous. Raw eggs? Salmonella, of course. But do I really care? Nope. Been eating cookie dough for 25 years and it hasn't killed me yet. My dogs will probably live, too. If I know why a food might be harmful to my pets, then I can evaluate whether or not it is worth the risk!
