which would you recommend?

Is their much of a difference in quality between Natural Balance and AvoDerm dog food? They both seem to have pretty good ingredients but the AvoDerm is a little cheaper.

Re: which would you recommend?

Neither really, but of the two I prefer AvoDerm ONLY if their vitK suppliment is not menodine. However it is very grainy imo. No actual named meat other than in meal form... also chicken fat... not a selling point for me.

However Natural Balance has a named meat as well as a few more protien sources (still in meal form though) but I really dont like the Brewers dried yeast, it is known to be a culprit in allergies or intolerances.
Again, Vit B12 is listed, but not saying from which source, email and ask both companies.

IMHO,both foods you asked about are mediocre at best.

I can get a 40 lb bag for $39....either that or $35, can't remember. It has worked for my dogs, and while not every dog food works for every dog, it seems like a pretty universal food. I would definitely recommend it!

Re: which would you recommend?

Ideally I recommend Orijen or one of the EVO products, but realistically, alot of people are not able to or comfortable with the price and the grain free aspect of it.
Canidae is a wonderful food one of mine is fed that ( he doesnt do well on either grain free or raw) every dog is different.
While mine excel on Orijen and raw ( for the most part) others have had very little success with it.

Canidae is priced fairly and is indeed a good food, perhaps look into it.

Yeah, but I haven't heard anything great about it....never fed it to my dogs, but it just wasn't on the top of my list to look into. I'm sure it's okay, though.

Re: which would you recommend?

Chicken soup isnt all that bad either, I dont have any experience with it, and no one I know does. Take a peek at the ingredients, not so bad really.
Quite a few "un necissary" ingredients but alot of worse foods are priced higher than this... ex. Eukanuba!!!

Chicken soup Adult dog formula.
