my pup is soooo stubborn. we can never do anything the right way. i am switching her to Chicken Soup... well i do the gradual mixing to a full switch. apparently, my pup does not.... she picks out all of the chicken soup and leaves her other food lol. atleast i know she likes the chicken soup!!! i just wish she would do it MY way for once!

I do not do a gradual mix. First of all you make another forumal for them to adjust too, second it defeats the purpose of a balenced diet as each food as a recommended amount to make a full meal. What I do is feed half of the old food that you would feed at night. IN the morning I feed half the new food. This allows the stomach acids to adjust but enough food. Then the pm is the new food normal the amount you would feed.

i always use probiotics with switiching to help the belly. but im just going to have to do a blunt switch now because she wont even touch her other food.

Just adding my 2 cents, but my pup (16 weeks old now) switched on the Chicken Soup when I first got her and we didn't do a gradual change either. She really had no problems at all. Not sure if it was b/c the Chicken Soup is such a good food or I just lucked out w/ a dog that has a stomach of a goat..lol. At any rate, she was on IAMs (lady I adopted her from fed her that) so I thought the change over could be a bad one, but like I said it worked out. So, hopefully your baby will have the same luck!

i happy to say she has. she loves the chicken soup. im sure its because its a higher quality food. shes been doing excellent on it as well. im sooo happy with the switch. she has had no soft stool or anything. yay
