Proformance

Hi
Newbie here
Would like to know whether is Proformance a good brand for dog food
I have a 4 month old Golden Retriever currently on eagle pack but it is way to expensive for me to continue. A 15 kg Eagle pack can last me up t0 6 weeks only.

Re: Proformance

I've never heard of the brand, perhaps not available in the US. However, you can rate the food using the calculator post at the top of the page in the food sub-forum on the board.

Re: Proformance

I looked at the ingredients posted on their website. I'm a bit bothered by any dog food that contains corn as it is know to be highly allergenic to dogs. And they are a bit grain heavy overall in their products.

Re: Proformance

Yep, I agree - corn, plus low quality grains and fillers. I wouldn't use it.

Eagle Pack is a good food. Nothing wrong with lasting 6 weeks. That's about average I think. I personally wouldn't want a bag of food around any longer than that even in an airtight container since it might go stale.

Re: Proformance

wow. 6 weeks on a 15 kg pack is considered average ah. Hmmm
I guess i will look at other brands then. Another reason why I am thinking of switching food is because there is only one shop selling EP from where i come from. I would prefer a brand that is more commonly available.
What do you guys think of black wood then??
