Opinions of Evangers canned food

Lilly is on a very healthy diet due to her allergies. She eats kibble twice daily called Nature's Variety Raw Instinct which is grain free and processed by which raw fruits, veggies and various forms of poultry are freeze dried into kibble form. In addition to this she receives mixed with the kibble a homemade diet that we vary: lean chicken, lean turkey, barley, green beans, sweet potato, peas, banana, blueberry etc....

I am willing to continue to put in the time to create the homemade portion of her diet but when I saw the Evangers I thought, wow, 100% no preservatives and it would really give healthy variety and save time. I read the ingrediants on the buffalo for example.....buffalo and water.

Is it really as pure and healthy as I am reading?

I have used Evangers very successfully for my raw fed dogs..... My dogs have eaten raw 7 years and when one of them is headed off with a handler or I can't bring raw meat I buy the Evangers and all of my dogs (even Connor) has done very well on it. I would have no qualms about recommending that food.

Re: Opinions of Evangers canned food

When I took my highly food allergic dog to the vet with yet another health issue, she handed me a few cans of Evangers to use until we could look into raw feeding. If I had to leave my dogs with someone I would have them feed Evangers. Both of my dogs did fine on it for a few weeks during transition and the ingredients list seems to be of high quality.

Re: Opinions of Evangers canned food

So glad to hear the positive feedback. Thank you! I have added it as part of her healthy lifestyle. Her "constant" in her diet is her Raw Instinct brand kibble and when I give her Evangers I mix 1/4 of it warm with her kibble. She hated the duck and pheasant but liked the buffalo and rabbit, which is the opposite of what I thought it would be. I was worried about it being too rich for her sometimes sensitive tummy but she did great! Success!
