The only taste tests that you will see are from dog food manufacturers themselves. And they always use a fair number of beagles since they are a well-known food obsessive breed. I can confirm this is true since I used to live near a testing facility for a very large dog food manufacturer and you could hear the beagles howling at all hours. They will eat anything and as much as you will give them. So those studies are considered highly unreliable, IMO.
Besides, just because another dog thinks the food tastes great doesn't mean your dog will like it. When my dogs ate kibble I went to a local independent retailer that carried the quality brands. They sent me home with piles of sample bags to try before I plunked any money down.
