Shampoo

What is a good shampoo for your dog? Our dogs get baths quite frequently, because they are on our farm.. And my mom just buys cheap brands, but I don't want to do that for Yuffie. Most of the time I will just rinse her off, but when I DO give her a bath, what would be a good, non skin damaging shampoo to use?

Oh, and we got a 'doggy' perfume from my sister, who got it from the vet clinic she worked at. And, I was wondering what were good brands of those? It was in bottle that looked like hairspray, and I think you sprayed it on them after a bath?

Thanks!

Re: Shampoo

I think standard dog shampoo do their jobs just fine but I prefer something that leaves a nice shining coat

Re: Shampoo

IF your really concerned just look on the label. Most dog shampoos I've looked at will either say its gentle or soothing or something along those lines or not. Its kind of like baby shampoo (use dog shampoo for dogs I am using an analogy) where they have tear-less shampoo for babies or you could use regular shampoo. We found the same sort of thing in dog shampoos, so we just get the gentle kind.

Re: Shampoo

Cheapo dog shampoos will dry your dog's coat out. A lot of the time, they make your dogs coat SEEM shinier and softer, but really, like with human shampoos, it's a wax coating over the hair.

I would reccomend a top of the line brand like EarthBath if your bathing them frequently. It won't dry them out and it smells great.

I've got the Mango Tango, and the smell sticks around for about a week. Most of the people I know that bath a lot use it.
