Any experience with Eye Clens by Dr. Foster's for tear stain? I'm doing everything that can be done re what she is consuming.
Thanks

Re: Opinion re Eye Clens by Dr. Foster's

The only thing I have found truly effective is to have the vet clean out the tear ducts and use products with tylosin. Tear stains are generally caused by red yeast or some bacteria that thrive in moist environments like the moist furry area under a dog's eye. If the tear ducts are blocked the tears run down the face instead of draining into the duct system as designed. One of our papillons has very narrow tear ducts. The tears back up, overflow onto the fur, and breed red yeast. When I want her to look really great for any reason I use tylosin (an antibiotic).

Just in case you wanted to know...I've tried having her drink only distilled water, changed foods, wiped her eye area several times each day, ... nothing has really worked.
