Brushing and Nails

I have yet to get Sofie groomed professionally. However, I am planning on making an appointment within the next two weeks. I am scared to the way she will react to the groomer. She does pretty good with the vet and lets her clip her nails, etc. She will NOT have it when I try to do it. As for brushing. she's not as bad as she used to be, but she will never sit still and if there is a little knot in her fur, she will not let me brush it out. I am very gentle with her and make sure to praise and give her treats after we are done and during. I have only been doing sections working up from there. I have been brushing her probably every other day to just twice a week since she was little (should have done every day). Any suggestions?

Re: Brushing and Nails

Start brushing her every day. That way you wont get knots to start with, if she crys, whines, ignore her and continue doing what you were doing. dont give up, or else she just wins. make her stay still. use a table to brush her on. and if you can tie her leash to somthing so she cant move as much
