Grooming and Petco.....

For those of you groomers and those that groom their own dogs, and shop at Petco, what shampoo do you recommend getting? Should I be getting 2 different shampoos for Nell and Chloe? Betty is so easy to maintain, but would like to find what would be a good product for Nell and Chloe, especially Chloe with her heavy coat. And we don't have many other places other than places like Walmart, Target, etc, but do most of my dog shopping at Petco. What do you recommend?

I have no idea if Petco carries it, but my new favorite is Buddy Wash, the green cap one with Bergamot. Smells fantastic. Second fav. is Nova Pearls.

Someone, i believe it was actually on this forum suggested earthbath to me and I LOVE it. I was able to find this at petco.

It smells so good and seems easy on the skin. Also I really love the shampoo and conditioner made by the same company that makes the furminator. I think it's called deshedding shampoo. It works great you just have to make sure to brush the dog after and get all the loose fur, it can also be found at petco.

Re: Grooming and Petco.....

I *think* Petco is now carrying Espree, which is a great product line and I use their shampoos often in my grooming shop. The Energee Plus shampoo and Coconut Remoisturizer are wonderful.

I think Petco carries Earthbath and Tropiclean, too.

Buddy Wash is also a great product! I've used it on my dogs and they smell delicious.

Cool, thanks for all the info. I might have to try the Deshedding Shampoo just to use it when they start their shedding season. And I'm looking at Earthbath as well. I also heard Crazy Dog was another good brand and smells great. Will check on all the different brands here and see what I like best.

Oh, the Crazy Dog products smell amazing, I forgot about them! The Rainforest smells soooo good, I use it as a cologne spray on some dogs I groom and the owners are wild for it.

Re: Grooming and Petco.....

I just got back and got the FURminator DeShedding Shampoo to use when they really start shedding. I also got the Crazy Dog Pina Colada Shampoo, they didn't have any of the others. I really wanted the Rainforest one. Will see if they get it in for the next time, lol.

I did take the girls shopping with me too, except Betty. Didn't want any problems. They did very well, then guess where we stopped? DOGWISE, lol. It's a money trap, lol. I got the book, The Rally Course Book. Exactly what I was looking for. And they loved the girls too, got along great with all their dogs they have there. And it was suprising to see Nell warm up so fast to them. She really needs the socializing with people, so I can get her in the ring and can let the judge touch her in the Stand For Exam. Chloe has no problems with that part, lol.

Well, Chloe's fur is so soft, lol. And she smells great. That Crazy Dog shampoo is awsome, love it. Just wished they had the Rainforest scent, heard that one is really good smelling. She no longer looks oily either, she was getting to where her hair was starting to look flat due to the oils and petting, but now she's so soft and fluffy, and looks great.
