Re: bather wants to groom

You need to make sure when you hire them, that they understand that they are bathers, and there is no option to learn to groom, unless you are looking for someone to train. If you want to train her, you will need to work out a contract, and possibly a no compete clause as well. If you don't want to train her, tell her that, and point her to the nearest grooming school.

Re: bather wants to groom

i worked as a bather for almost a year and a half before i was trained to groom. and my grooming kinda fell in my lap since our other groomer got fired, they knew i wanted to groom, and they needed someone to fill that spot.

i would say your bathers need to be told they need to bathe longer. i would have never been ready to groom after only 2 weeks. but i learned a lot during my year and a half of bathing.
