Kintaro became a grandpa

I hope this doesn't sound too superficial.. I took my boy to the groomers today. He had quiet a bit of matting around his neck. So i asked for a lamb cut and i got back a clown. =[ He looks like a grandpa. I didn't want any tugging on his skin from teasing out the mats and they said it's best to have him completely shaved because his adult hair is coming in... so they shaved his head and his body but left his face tail and legs.

Do dog grooming places provide a regroom of some sort to make him look less funny without charge like salons do? He looks so silly.. or should i deal with it and wait?

Before [a couple days ago]:

After:

the cut is hideous!!! it's an awful lamb cut, hopefully it grows back soon. I laughed in disbelief when i went to go pick him up and walked out without knowing what to say...

I see what you mean...he's still a pretty boy though...I wonder why they didn't leave a poof on top of his head, but left his face? Most groomers will fix a cut you are unhappy with for free..I've had my previous dog's cut fixed before when they didn't take enough off.

Awww, he's still handsome

I had to get Delilah groomed bc of mats, and she looks, well, ridiculous.
When we picked her up, I was laughing so hard I had tears falling.

I wouldn't have left, or if I did they wouldn't have gotten paid! That is a dreadful cut and they should correct it for free! I think after that I would find a different groomer!

Are there any suggestions to fix it? His Body is shaved down to the fuzz. Hopefully it will grow quickly. Should I ask them to shave his face as well? He doesn't look like a poodle anymore at all.

I feel like I got the worst haircut in the world, except its on him.

Yes, have them shave the face and perhaps the legs, it will improve the appearance, it should have been done anyhow. The rest of the hair will grow back fairly quickly, so you may want ot invest in some no more tangles spray (that's what mom used on her poodles) to use when brushing between groomings. You also want to use some sunscreen until the coat grows back, the last thing he needs is a burn on top of the bad cut!
