Hair restorer..

Ok this is my question. Have a friend who's Samoyed developed a hot spot. The hot spot is healed but, the hair has not grown back. There was a horse product that I used a few years back that restored hair to a bald spot. However I just for the life of me can't recall the name of the product. Anyone know of a product that will help my friend's dog? Thanks.

Re: Hair restorer..

The horse product was possibly Eqyss Micro Tek or one of the Eqyss products...or Fungisan..

I use Paraspray for hot spots and it heals them almost overnight with hair growth within a few days.

Eqyss Micro Tek works well too, just a bit more expensive, but I do use it for the horses.

You're thinking of EQyss Mega-Tek Rebuilder. Excellent product, and yes, it does stimulate hair growth on bald spots! (I buy mine through kvvet supply, so I don't have to pay shipping.)

Actually, the Micro Tek is the one that is best for hot spots and girth gall, summer itch, etc....the Mega Tek is for hair rebuilding, but you first need to rid the area of any bacteria or fungus before the hair can grow back, which the Micro Tek is good for.

The plus is, that it smells great!

Re: Hair restorer..

Thanks. I do use both the shampoo and spray Microtek for my horses. This was a different product. It was expensive $20 for a small bottle. I'm thinking it was Royal something or other but, I just can't seem to remember (it's been awhile.) Have a co-worker who has an allergy dog, so I asked her. Her suggestion was to shampoo with Nioxin and then apply Vitamin E oil. Grew the hair back on her Scottie dog.

The OP said the hot spot was healed and was wanting the product for hair regrowth, which is Mega-Tek Rebuilder. Duh.
