| I need an appoximate grooming price I just dropped Bo off at the vet for grooming and weight check. I need to know if I have enough cash on me for a tip or if I need to go to the ATM before picking him up. I plan on tipping 15-20 percent, but I didn't ask the price.
He is getting a bath, nail trim, nail file, and anal gland expression. I just need a quick estimate please! Thanks in advance! |

| Re: I need an appoximate grooming price I have no idea but usually in cities where the rents are higher on the store owners, I would think more or the middle range.. The real joke of this is that except for the bath and dry, if you went to the vet for nails and anals its like 7 dollars for each- ie 14 dollars usually. I guess it just depends.. You might want to invest in a sprayer like mine that you put shampoo in it to wash your own dog ( its like 29 dollars) and then let the vet or groomer do nails and check anal glands.. |

| Re: I need an appoximate grooming price well I have to take Ted to two different places to get all of that done. His groomer doesn't do the anal glands so he has to go to the Petsmart Vet ($23). The rest he gets done at his groomer. When I take him in to be groomed, remember he's shih tzu, he does hair cut, bath, blow dry, nails, and ears for $30. Nails alone are $7 and bath is probably about $15 by itself.
So...about $40? |

| Re: I need an appoximate grooming price The easiest way to find out how much it will be is to call. I never have a service done without asking for how much its going to be. I have never heard of a vet/ grooming service before. |

They also have an area for pet photography. I would call, but their phones are turned off for lunch right now, I believe. |

That requires a lot more work than it would on other breeds because of all the hair. It's extra for nails, etc. |

To clip him usually runs about $65.My groomer charges me about the same and he liikes her better so we go there .-love my poodle but he's very high maintainence!! My groomer also charges me about $45 for my Lab ,including nail trim and file and gland cleaning

It's pretty amazing, considering. A bath, dry, and shave down starts at $65, but I like to have a variety of clips, and never do a shave down unless modified with the Miami Clip - #5F body, and full bracelets. I did have a groomer who gave me a huge price break for a full groom whatever the clip ($50 for a Standard Poodle is a bargain for sure), providing the dog had set appointments spaced no more than 4 weeks apart. I never went beyond 4 weeks, anyway! I learned to shave their FFT with the cordless Wahl Moser, so the body came pretty easy, and now I groom them myself. That groomer did a beautiful job except for one thing - she just couldn't get it that you never never ever cut the topknot above the eyes, and the bracelets were too highwater pete! Arrrgh! |
