Fox the dog is an unknown quantity at this point
FOX coat

Fox coat short hair no need to brush comb etc ... just needs a shower or bath and towel dry . So does require a sweater in cold whether than ?

Your dog still needs to be brushed.

Depends on how cold and for how long in the cold

What breed is your dog... ?

Is he doble coated?

The ACD for instance, has this fox like coat but also has an iner shorther and ligther hair... so he can stand pretty rough wheater. but I wouldn't let him stay six hours on the snow for instance....

That make sence?....

If you are talkin going out at 20°f to releive and goning for a walk that shouldn't be a problem.

Also as stated it need brushing...

Brushing helps to keep your dog's skin and coat healthy, regardless of coat length, so every dog needs to be brushed. I agree with the above posts.
