Here we go!

Well i just popped some advil, now its time to be bent over the tub for the next...rest of the day and start bathing, they are all getting there bi monthly bathes Would be nice to someday have a raised tub setup just for bathing the dogs. Figured it was a good time since we are about to go sub freezing for a few days and they might be mud free for a bit, oh i cannot wait for frozen ground

Be careful what you wish for. I would happily send you the weather here. It has been between -20 and -35 everynight for a month now. And that does not take in wind chill factors. Wanna trade?

I almost would just to avoid the constant mud, rain, wet, gloomy goo we have had too much of this year...but negative degrees would be a little too cool I would gladly take mid 20's and a little snow cover!!

Haha. I'm about to hunch over the tub too. At least they fit in the tub and I don't have to wash them outside.

Re: Here we go!

I just gave Alvin an outside bath yesterday. He hates baths. More than the actual bath, though, he hates coming back in when he's still slightly damp. He refuses to lay down on any of his beds or blankets. He just stands in the middle of the room, looking uncomfortable until he dries COMPLETELY.

Does he not let you dry him fillebelle?

Aussiefan, why don't you just take your dogs to the pet wash at the pet store? I took Snoopy there once because we had a coupon for one free use and it was so much easier and I didn't get wet since the tub was raised up.

Edit: Also I'm not sure how it is with medium sized dogs but with Snoopy I can sit on the toilet and give him a full bath without having to bend over to much.

I know...i keep asking myself that question as well, haha! My Aussie breeder even owns her own grooming shop, i guess im just stubborn and do everything i can on my own, im the same way with my vehicles, i mostly work on them myself, guess i have a hard time spending money on something i can do myself...but MAN that would sure save my back, and all the clean up of my bathroom afterwards

Re: Here we go!

Thats the good thing about being a groomer, I work at two salons and, of course, both have raised hydrobaths so I can take my own two pooches there when I need to :P

Also AussieFan, what breeder do you have associations with here in Aus and what breed?

Hi:
No associations to Australia, I have Australian Shepherds from a breeder here in the states. (Also a Sheltie and Border Collie) That is where my forum name aussiefan is about. Would LOVE to visit your country some day though
