| Good De-Shedding Style of Brush Recommendations Hey,
So I've been noticing dog hair around the apartment more and would like to find a good brush to help slow some of that down. Max is a terrier mix with a kind of short, coarse wiry coat. He doesn't shed a lot, but he definately sheds some and sometimes it's worse than others. The problem is today I went out and bought a slicker brush and he HATES it. I can't tell if it's that the little sharpish pins make him uncomfortable or if it's the louder sound on his coat or both, but he kind of flinched when I used it on him and when I tried to brush his legs he sort of nipped at my hand (without actually nipping me) to let me know that if I kept doing it I was going to be in trouble. Are there any de-shedding tools out there that are gentler on dogs. He doesn't have a problem when I use the rounded pin brush on him, but that doesn't really help much with his undercoat. So any recommendations? |
