| Re: Ear Cleaning Issues Sometimes there is a mild odor, not stinky per se. When cleaning ears, I usually flush them and let the dog shake out any excess followed by wiping any gunk visible in the external canal and extra moisture with a cotton ball. To flush the ear, you fill it right up with the ear cleaner and gently massage directly under the ear to loosen debris in the canal. Never probe around in there with anything, only clean with a cotton ball what is readily visible in the canal. It is relatively easy to tell with a quick swab by the vet whether or not you're dealing with an infection, yeast or otherwise. |
