Try using Dawn dish soap. It's a degreaser, and should do the trick.

I agree with poodliholic, after the dawn dish soap you can also use either a bit of sugarwater or baking soda for a real good clean.

Do you just mix some sugar and water? In what proportions?

And baking soda, do you use it like a dry shampoo, sprinkle on and brush through?

Sorry for not being more explanitory. yes just mix together some sugar and water, as long as the water is warm(not cold), couple cups of water to about 1/4-1/2 cup sugar. For the baking soda yes either use it like a dry shampoo, and brush out, or rub it in the hair and rinse off. Incase you are wondering I learned of the uses of these by accident, my daughter was having fun, thaught she'd make puppy pretty lol just like finger painting with margrine on a glass table, once wiped off gives it a bit of a shine. lol oh and while I'm at it baby tooth paste or shampoo gets marks off tv screens. lol although i deffinately don't suggest to use full strength, takes a while to wipe off, lol Little minds are so creative.

In my work sometimes I get my hands greasy or get glue on them. I like to use the green Palmolive, it seems to work well for me,or you could try a tad of simple orange hand cleaner for mechanics, David

Thanks Shanette! I'll try the baking soda--Cessa gets greasy mud on her and the weather is so cold right now that I do not want to give her a wet bath at this time of year.
