Question Brush Type

What type of brush is most appropriate for our newest addition to the family (a suspected beagle mix pup)? She's got that flat, soft, straight, short coat going on. I picked up a wirey pad type brush but am unsure if that's suitable for her coat type. Thanks!

Re: Brush Type

For the beagle -a good hound glove and a flea comb - hound glove every day - flea comb couple times a week, the flea comb will pul;l out the short dead undercoat and is by far cheaper than some of the shedding type brushes.

Shih tzu - A good comb - greyhound comb (dont be put off by the name its not for a greyhound) google it it will show you what it is - plus a small slicker brush. Slicker brush first but not armpits or sensitive areas - then comb including armpits etc. every other day at least.

A hound glove! Thanks. I'll look for one along with a flea comb next time I'm at the pet store.

I have a Tzu and I use a slicker brush, works great and she loves it when I use it on her belly...lol. And I use a fine tooth comb on her face.
