I have a shihtzu and was wondering how you clean / trim the hair inside there ears. I heard if you dont keep there ears up such as cutting the hair inside etc that would be more prone to ear infections etc. I was just wondering how you go about doing this when you do it.

right go get some baby powder and ur tweezers sit ur dog down and flick the ear over so u can see in the ear now u will get hair growing out of the ear canal tip some powder on it and pluck a few strands at a time it isnt nice the first few time my lhasa screamed like a girl but now it dosnt bother him now

just keep plucking till its all gone this will stop any ear wax building up and then u will have less chance of infection u can use ur fingers but i use pluckers as i find it easyer

A poodle has hair that will continue to grow--even in their ears. I occassionally pluck Riley's ear hair, not too often and not too much, just enough. I use either an "alligator clip" or pinch some hair with my fingers alone(you can only do that when you get really good and comfortable with it and your dog doesn't mind, it doesn't bother Riley at all, in fact, he tilts his head towards me).
