litter box training 2 dogs

Anyone have any experience training 2 dogs at the same time to use the litter box. Am getting 2 yorkie pups in June and want to be ready for this scary adventure. Any advise would be appreciated.

A litter box??For dogs?? Id like to hear how you'd do that.

Why not try the puppy training pads? They sell them at virtually any pet store. They have a scent to them, and attracts the puppy to potty on it rather then the floor.

My pups are newspaper trained, simply by lining the pen as they were babies, now they attract to it. I am now housebreaking them.
Why not just start housebreaking them? Crate them, and when they wake, its outside immediatly, and so forth, every 1/2 hour or so.

I've never heard of litter box training a dog. But, maybe it can be done. In any case, good luck!

Yes it is quite common for small dogs. They make special litter for dogs. It is quite different than cat litter. I believe it originated in New York in apartment buildings that obviously have no yards. Little dogs do not need walked near as much as bigger dogs so the litter boxs work great for yardless places. I myself do not have a fenced yard and am not allowed to have a fence where I live. My last teacup Yorkie was killed by a lab that came into my yard. For this time around I am doing the litter box thing. Just hoped someone had experience with training 2 at the same time. Cool Very cool!

Housetraining small dogs using a litter box is an excellent choice! That is how I trained mine. Simply plop them in there after drinking, eating and when you think they are gonna go!

And you can always transfer to going outside if you like, just slowly move the thing outdoors.
