| Can someone explain this please? OK - so I bring Cooper, my son's Goldendoodle here. As soon as he gets here he is leaping around and jumping on my three shih-tzus and they start barking and snapping at him. Its a crazy situation.
Anyway, my husband loops Cooper's leash around the door handle to the deck. I came downstairs to muck around on the computer. My husband left. Everything was very quiet. I went upstairs and there is Cooper sleeping on the dining room floor, and Tyson is sleeping about two feet away.
I don't understand why Cooper is a crazy idiot when he first gets here and then half an hour later, he is perfectly well behaved.
Is this just puppy? I do know that for Cooper any attention is good. If you yell at him - he likes that. If he jumps on you and you push him down - that is good too! He doesn't like being ignored. When I get to my son's it takes about ten minutes of ignoring before Cooper stops bouncing around like a kangaroo! He bites at my fingers too. If I put my hands in my pockets to ignore him - he bites them through the fabric!! He doesn't do it so hard it hurts.
