strange piddling.

my geocaching name is uperdooper and my husband's is "the big doop" for obvious reasons.

yeesh! Bikhi can be an airhead but she has more smarts than the doop's family. i always put her in her crate when i leave at 2 to take my brother to work. i am home before 3 and i've told him more than once to leave her in her crate even if his daughter comes over. because Bikhi still does the excitement piddling thing with people she doesn't know well.

anywho, today while i was gone the stepdaughter let her out of her crate and after a couple minutes of the zoomies, Bikhi jumps up on the doop's lap and proceeds to pee on him. good girl!!! of course, he put her back in her crate but if he had just listened to me in the first place it wouldn't have happened.

she's never done anything like that before and she had peed outside about a half hour before. any ponderings why she would do this?

Re: strange piddling.

That's part of the excitement peeing. The cure is to tone down the excitement level in the house.

i know what the cure is. it doesn't help when i tell him to leave her in her crate and he ignores me. for some reason i can't convince his family to ignore her when they come over. they insist on fawning all over her.

Its the excitement. Maybe if she pees on them more they will quit using the squeaky voice. Its a hard thing to explain to people.

nope! 3 months later and they still don't get it. the next time they come over and she gets her leg fur wet because she wags her short tail while piddling i'm going to make them clean her legs.

she has never once piddled when meeting a member of my family.
