Can someone direct me to a good book about this. Specifically, I am wanting to train Paisley to work with Autistic children. So I am not as interested in ambulatory and physical assistance.

That would be called a therapy dog, not service dog.

There aren't many good books on the subject, but TDI (Therapy dogs international) and Delta Society both have websites and some good information.

There is a group called Autism Service Dogs of America. I don't know anything about them but you might want to check them out and see what they are doing.
