I finally found a game for Brandi

I've been trying to find something to do with Brandi instead of ball toss or using any other toys. She doesn't respond to them at all and doesn't know what to do with it when I toss it. So I started with some basic obed review outside with her. Put her in a down/stay and called her to me after a minute or two. Well, then I put her back down and had her stay and walked around the corner of the house. She broke stay and tried to follow me and I corrected her and put her back where she was for about 30 seconds. Then I called her to me from around the side of the house. She came running as fast as she could. After treating her for being such a good girl we tried it again. Now she loves to play hide and seek with mama. Hmmmm I wonder if it's me she's happy to find or the treats???? No matter, we are having fun and she's getting some exercise. As well as some badly needed obed review.

I once had a dog that played hide and seek! How fun! I think Brandi enjoys finding you AND the treats.

that does sound like fun. Pretty soon she will be finding certain things for you! Never again will you have to wonder where you put your keys!!

I was trying to teach "fetch" to Coco (she's a retrieving breed for goodness' sake!) but have found she's much more enthusiastic if the ball rolls out of her sight under something, or bounces round the corner into another room. I want to teach her to "find it" too but she's not very good at that so far...

Hide & seek sounds fun with Brandi.

Our dog, Max, just loves to play hide-and-seek. We discovered this while playing ball and the ball happened to land under a bush. Max had so much fun looking for it that we've since made it into a game for him. 'Course, being a lab/spaniel mix, he's got the whole "hunting/sniffing" thing in the blood anyway. So funny seeing his head under a couch with his rear in the air!

I was looking for his ball one day with my head under the couch with my rear in the air, and there was Max right beside me, looking as hard as I was (except when he was licking me LOL). Wife was laughing too hard to snap a pic, but maybe next time.
