Unhappy Steppin' on paws

Hi, I have 2male 9month old pugs and I can't walk without stepping on one or both of them. They are at my feet all the time. I love them both but I do get tired of stepping on them. I have been working on getting them to sit and stay but when one gets up the other one follows. Even when I call them by name I get both of them. Should I try to work with them seperately? They just jump at me all the time. I play with them alot. I am starting to feel bad because now they get more attion than my 6year old female cherrier. She doesn't like them at all and I've had them 4 months. She doesn't want anythng to do with them at all. So any how back to the problem at hand what should I do about the pugs? Thats all these boys want to do is play they can't hold still for much of anything.

Yes. work with them separately and put both on an NILIF and daily obedience training program. Right now, you are inadvertently telling them that they are above you in the pack. Subordinates move for the pack leader.

When they start demanding attention (again subordinates don't do this), totally ignore them. Walk away if necessary. They are now teenagers and like all teens they will test your resolve. Do them a great favor by establishing strict pack rules and consistently enforcing them.

I'm not sure what a "cherrier" is but I would enforce her position above them by feeding her first, giving her attention (even if you must crate or tether the pugs) first, walks and training first. When you walk the pugs (one at a time for now) use the walk to establish your leadership by insisting the dog walk at heel or behind you, not out front.

A Cherrier is a Chihuahua/Terrier. Well a least that is what I call my Female. I didn't want to just call her a mut so my daughter and I came up with Cherrier.
