I use boiled chicken breasts cut up and I freeze little portions. I have a small papillon, so it don't take much for us....you can find the bags of frozen, boneless, skinless ones on sale. I use cheap store brands of individually wrapped string cheese, (I found they last longer and don't go bad as the big clump of string cheese packages did) or cheddar cheese. I cut tiny little pieces. Do you have a dehydrator? You can dehydrate liver ......do it out in the garage as it stinks real bad....LOL.....They love that for training....just don't give too much of it .... You can dehydrate chicken, too. I use Zuke's treats....But then I have a tiny dog, so a bag of those lasts us forever it seems....Just remember to use little pieces when you train.....

....A lady at class does what Brightday does to the hotdogs. I just never gave them to Willie, but he has had a taste of other peoples and LOVED them LOL......Another trainer uses already cooked meatballs. She gave Willie just ONE of those throughout the night in class, as she used him as an example and he was barking some, so she took him and was feeding him that greasy thing.....well, next day his was sick with diarrhea

....so now, he doesn't get treats of other peoples....I give them our stuff to give him if they use him. But she gives them meatballs to her Aussies.....
Good Luck!!
