Question New Puppy and Litter Box Training

Hi,

I am new to this site and just brought home my new Maltese Puppy home yesterday morning. She is 10 weeks old and seems to be doing well. I have a pen set up for her with one area with a blanket, toys and food. The other end is her litter box. She has gone in it twice yesterday for a pee, and in the middle of the night she did a poop. She only spends short intervals in the pen and then when she is out I leave the door open and she plays. She is always monitored when out of the pen

My question is, she doesn't seem to be peeing much, she is drinking off and on throughout the day, and will eat her meal, I feed her breakfast, lunch and dinner time. I put her in the box after meals, after play and naps.

Now unless she is peeing when I don't see her (in the pen) I just haven't seen her pee much, and there hasn't been mistakes on the floor yet.

Does anyone have a small breed dog (as a puppy one time) and litter box trained, any notes on how frequent they went? Any info would be great!

Vicky

Thumbs up :D

Wow, you are taking excellent care of your doggy!!!

I have a pom and those are pretty small. It sounds like your puppy is getting very good housetraining. I'm pretty sure you dog is doing just fine, as long as she is drinking and eating normaly.

Keep up the good work!!
