Simon is in Basic Novice class

He is doing very well. I seam to screw up more then him. My wife and I take turns working with him. One week she works with him at class and the next week I work with him.We enjow this very much. The club we chose to train with is about 90 percent women. Our instructor has been working as a Obedience instructor for over 40 years and she the best. There 12 people and there dogs in our class and all of them are hard workers with there dogs which is great. We are only on our second week and theres a total of 8 weeks. then if we are ready to advance to the advance class. Lots of work.

Re: Simon is in Basic Novice class

Cool.....

I have Chloe going to Obedience Competition classes with my trainer, they are private classes. Hopefully we will be ready by next year when the dog show is in town. I also have Nell starting Agility Foundations, which is required before going to Agility I. It's a lot of fun. The Agility classes are a lot cheaper as well. It's a 6 week class. The Obedience class is just every week, as long as I want to keep on doing it.

That's great that you and your wife work together. I happen to have a spouse that is not on the same page as me when it comes to our (MY) dogs.

Re: Simon is in Basic Novice class

We have just finish the 6 week in the Basic Novice Class and got two more weeks in this course. Then a break until after the first of the year.I want to stay with the training and will sign up for the next class when they post it.I need to work harder at home. I seam to screw up as much as Simon at times. So we both need to work on the correct way to do it right. We will see where we are at in six months from now. Hope I am no boreing you and if so, so be it.Good Day and God Bless

Oh, don't worry, you aren't boring us. Keep up the good work. And if there's something that you might be struggling with, post it and some of us can help a little by giving some pointers that might help.
