I have to catch him doing his drum roll stomp. If you rub his sides from above he pounds the floor with his front feet. Hard to do with camera in hand, and you know how hard it is to setup and catch certain moments. Quote:

Glad to see you finally followed the advice of that woman youmet in the park or dog walk who told you that "these dogs need to know who is boss" or whatever.
I thought we had lost you for good when you did not take her advice immediately.....

Ok, I'm an idiot, but what is an "alpha roll". I saw it mentioned on another post but not sure what it means. Is it a bad thing to do? I'm so confused...but then I stay that way most of the time...  |

An alpha roll is basically when you grab a dog by its scruff and flip it onto its back in order to "make it submissive". It is an old training philosophy that has went by the way side as more research has been done on how dogs learn and communicate.
Sioux is too adorable. I alpha roll Blackie the same way all of the time...it has gotten to the point that on approach he immeadiatly flips on his back. | |
